Calema offers Windsurfing, Sailing, Kayaking and Stand-Up Paddling -- Lessons, Rentals and a Pro-shop for all your Watersports needs. We have Small Group and Private Instruction, Summer Kids Camps, Multi-day Performance and Beginner Clinics, and even Family Adventures. We are located inside the public park - Kelly Park in Merritt Island - so plenty of parking and right on the water.
Private and Small Group Instruction in Windsurfing, Sailing and Stand-Up Paddling for all ages and all skill levels. Our instructional staff is trained and led by Tinho Dornellas - one of two Master Instructors in the US for US Sailing. Whether you are a complete novice or just need a 'tune-up', we are excited to share our passions with you and help you to enjoy the sports with more fun and less effort. We emphasize good technique and balance - teaching skills that will allow you to progress on your own -- no "resort" courses, here.
Rentals in Windsurfing, Sailing, Kayaking and Stand-Up Paddling. You can explore the river, see manatees and dolphins and more aboard any of our non-motorized options. Kayaks and SUP's can be rented by the hour / 3hrs / or Full Day. Windsurfing and Sailing Rentals are offered as 3hrs / Full day options. No experience is required for the Kayaks and SUP's. Previous skill or instruction is required for Windsurfing and Sailing. We have equipment for novices to advanced windsurfers. Sailboats ranging from Sunfish & Force 5 monohulls (1-2 person boats) to our new addition of a Vaurien monohull (great for up to 4 small adults) and Catamarans for those with multihull experience. We also have our 23' Stiletto catamaran for great adventures of groups up to 6 people. Tinho stays on board the Stilletto - you can choose to be 'hands-on' and steer and help with sheeting the sails, or just sit back and relax and let him so all the sailing - your choice.
