North Georgia Canopy Tours sits on 136 scenic acres one hour northeast of Atlanta up I/85 - I/985 just past Gainesville. There are two zip line Canopy Tour courses offered - the Adventure Tour with 12 ziplines, 2 sky bridges, 3 nature hikes, and a rappel (allow three hours) for $89 and the Sky Bridge Tour with 9 ziplines, 2 sky bridges, and 2 nature hikes (allow two hours) for $69. Both Tours are tree-to-tree experiences in an established forest, where small groups (no more than 9 guests) are led by two eco-trained guides in a pod system. All clipping and unclipping is handled by our guides. Each guest must go through Ground School and wear North Georgia Canopy Tours' safety equipment.
The property has seven teepees sleeping from two to ten people situated in a shaded area with picnic tables, charcoal grills, a campfire (firewood furnished), and comfort station (men's and women's bathroom and showers). The 2-person and 5-person teepees are furnished with linens and all teepees are heated and air conditioned and have electricity. Teepee pricing for the 2-person teepee is $90 on weekdays and $109 on weekends, for the 5-person teepees the prices are $119/$139, and prices for the 10-person teepee are $179/$199. Rustic camping is also available $20/$25. The teepees at North Georgia Canopy Tours follow the Native America design of the Colorado area and are named for clans of the Cherokee Indians who inhabited the area years ago.
North Georgia Canopy Tours is home to a championship Disc Golf Course, which is quite challenging and often hosts tournaments. The two-mile long, 18-hole, 61-par, championship course winds through the forest over hills, the North Oconee River, and beside the Hilltop and Catfish Ponds. Signature Hole Number 12 goes through the "Chicken Shak" - a previously operating chicken house where 20,000 chickens were raised. Green fees are $5 per person or a year's membership is available for $60.
North Georgia Canopy Tours also offers a 9-hole Mini-Golf Course for $3 and many free activities, including tetherball, basketball, football, ping pong, Giant Jenga, corn hole, geocaching (5-stage course), and feeding the huge Koi in the Hilltop Pond. The pristine acreage also offers fun hiking and an observation deck to watch zippers (or to feed the fish. In May 2016, North Georgia Canopy Tours was selected by the Greater Hall County Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business of the Year for Hall County 2015-16. North Georgia Canopy Tours is a recipient of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the years 2014-2016 and has been twice featured on Georgia Traveler on Georgia Public Television (once for the Canopy Tours and once for the teepees). The Canopy Command Center contains natural and historical items, including arrowheads discovered in the southeastern United States, a mule-drawn plow used on the property almost 100 years ago, and many other items.
