Dog Bark Park is home to the world's two biggest beagle dogs. It is located in Cottonwood Idaho about mid-way between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. The largest beagle-shaped building is a popular bed & breakfast-style guesthouse open April through October annually. Sleeps four with the main quarters in the body of the dog & a small loft space in the dog's head. Breakfast selections include healthy home-baked granola, pastries & muffins along with fresh fruit, cheeses, yogurts & more. From the windows & second story deck enjoy views of the agricultural prairie lands that are rimmed by mountains in all directions. Enjoy expansive sunsets & starry night skies. Advance reservations are required to stay at Dog Bark Park Inn. Early reservations are recommended especially for summer dates.
Dog Bark Park is also well-known as one of Idaho's favorite road-side attractions. Visitors are welcome during daylight hours to view the two big beagles and other outdoor sculptures (a giant red fire hydrant, for example) built by proprietor artists Dennis Sullivan & Frances Conklin. A visitor center houses their artist studio and gift shop filled with their wooden dog sculptures of many canine breeds & Dog Bark Park souvenirs. The visitor center/gift shop is open year-round. Having lived in Idaho for many years, Dennis & Frances are knowledgeable and happy to share hints & suggestions about travelling in Idaho.
