Snowstar is a family friendly Ski / Snow Board / Tube Hill facility that prides itself in providing a fun Family oriented atmosphere. Snowstar is a hidden treasure of the Quad Cities nestled in the hills of Coal Creek, in Andalusia, Illinois. We are located just minutes from Interstate 80 / 280 near Jumer’s Casino in Rock Island, Illinois. We are a full-service facility offering lessons, equipment rental, foodservice, bar and lounge, and outdoor grille on our heated patio. Keep in mind that just because you don’t see snow in your backyard, we have a state-of-the-art snowmaking system to insure that we have lots of snow.

Imagine the thrill of sliding down one of our eleven snowy tube lanes and then effortlessly riding the Magic Carpet to the top of the hill. No experience or special equipment is needed. Just hop on the tube we provide and enjoy the ride. For the skiing / snowboarding enthusiast we offer fifteen runs ranging from beginner to the more advanced black diamond runs. For those seeking more adventure, we offer one of the best Terrain Parks in the Midwest. Rails to jumps we change the scenery daily. Our facility is also equipped with two double and two quad chair lifts, and our learning area offers a Magic carpet for those just getting started.

Our Ski school has highly qualified instructors eager to make your time on the snow enjoyable and rewarding. By teaching the most up to date techniques, our ski school builds confidence to create fun family memories. Our instructors are experienced in teaching you the basics or taking your skills to the next level with advanced techniques. There is no need to lug your own equipment with our fully stocked rental shop. We offer equipment rental that ranges from toddlers to adults.

Take a break from the action and enjoy our Lunar Lodge featuring an upstairs grille and pizza parlor, or head downstairs for snacks and deli selections. Our Taproom features multiple TV’s, a fireplace, and relaxing seating for your lounging pleasure. Step outside onto our heated patio and take advantage of our outdoor grill and bar or gather around our large fire pit. Our outdoor grill features rib-eye sandwiches, burgers and ice cold refreshments including the occasional Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. Come to Snowstar, where every day is a snow day!
