Elkader City Campground opens April 1st WEATHER PERMITTING and closes November 1st. Stroll, picnic, play or camp in our lovely 3 acre shaded city park near the Turkey River. The city pool, playground equipment, ball fields, tennis courts, volleyball court, disc golf, an exercise trail around the perimeter of the park, enclosed and open shelters, and picnic tables are located in the park. The five open shelters and an enclosed shelter can be rented for your special event. Hike on the nearby Pony Hollow trail or take the Riverwalk to downtown Elkader. 100-125 campsites (60-70 campsites are available with water and electrical hook up, 20 and 30 AMP). A new conveniently located bathhouse offers hot showers. Campers also have access to firewood and a dump site.
