Defined by the Cedar River, Mitchell County Conservation is located in north central Iowa along the Minnesota border. We are home to the western-most trout streams in Iowa, beautiful river bluffs, and rich woodlands, wetlands, and prairie. Additionally, the Mitchell CCB manages 36 parks, natural areas, historic sites and wetlands encompassing some 2,011 acres across the county.
Six of those parks are modern campgrounds with electric and water hookup.
Mitchell County Conservation Board also offers free environmental education programming throughout the year!
