Barton 1792 Distillery, located in downtown Bardstown, Kentucky, was established in 1879 and continues today as the oldest fully-operating Distillery in the “Bourbon Capital of the World.” Home of the World'd Best Bourbon! The Distillery is located on 196 acres and includes 28 warehouses, 22 other buildings, the Morton Spring and the Tom Moore Spring. Distilling, aging and bottling fine Bourbon whiskey are hallmarks of the historic Barton 1792 Distillery. 1792 Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey is produced at Barton 1792 Distillery. This whiskey is named for the year Kentucky became a state, 1792 offers three tours of the distillery; the Barton Tradition Tour, the Bushel to Bottle Tour and the 1792 Estate Tour.
All tours at Barton 1792 Distillery are complimentary, rich in history, and conclude with a complimentary tasting of the award-winning products made at the distillery. Walk-ins are welcome to join the Barton Tradition Tour and Bushel to Bottle Tours, however reservations are strongly suggested for large groups. The 1792 Estate Tour is limited to groups of five, because of the vast amount of ground the motorized tour covers.
