The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest hosts 12-15 hot air balloons and pilots who fill the skies in Presque Isle area with beautiful colors morning and evening for at least 4 days in August. The event officially begins with a balloon launch and Street Fair on Thursday evening. Friday and Saturday there are more flights at sunrise and before sunset, breakfast gatherings, music, food, vendors, tethered balloon rides, antique tractor pulls, children's activities and more. The final scheduled flight will be Sunday morning at sunrise. You will have an opportunity to meet pilots, see balloon baskets up close and ask questions.
