The Maria Atwood Inn is a lovely brick Federal colonial building – fully restored -dating from about 1820. It provides attractive and comfortable accommodations with a tranquil atmosphere. In a semi-rural setting, the inn is a home away from home for business travelers and tourists. Modem hook-ups & free wireless internet access in every room. Seven guest rooms with private baths provide a variety of accommodation arrangements to suit most preferences. Four rooms have fireplaces for the warm atmosphere they provide on chilly New England evenings. Sandi serves up delicious full breakfasts daily. Snacks and soft drinks are available as desired. The inn is located in the very center of New Hampshire - Vermont, Maine, Boston or the coast is within an hour to an hour and a half drive. Lakes (Webster, Winnipesaukee, Newfound and others) are nearby for boating, fishing and swimming. Touring the White Mountains is only 40 minutes away. At the Atwood Inn, we welcome children of all ages with their parents. Quilters come for their pilgrimage to Keepsake Quilting and history buffs thoroughly enjoy a tour of Canterbury Shaker Village. Other special activities are NASCAR races at the New England International Speedway and the annual Bike Week in Laconia when our area is dominated by motorcycle enthusiasts from around entire world.
