Saravilla, built 1894, is a Dutch Colonial mansion operating as a bed and breakfast. Seven guestrooms are available for overnight accommodation, all with private baths and unique decor & furnishings. All rates include a full English/American breakfast. In addition to guest rooms, Saravilla boasts 3000 s.f. of public space that inclusdes a libarary, parlor, ballroom, billiard room, porch and sunporch and a guest kitchen.
Located in a small, picturesque town, Saravilla is 2 blocks from Alma College and within a 5 minute drive of the Michigan Masonic Pathways Home and the MidMichigan Medical Center. Nearby larger towns include Mt. Pleasant (15 miles) and Lansing (45 miles).
Saravilla's ballroom offers space fo meetings, receptions, dinners, and small weddings. Built as an addition in 1902, the ballroom features original lighting fixtures, imported English wallpaper, finely crafted built-ins, and a huge working fireplace. It can be set up either for dining or auditorium style for meetings.
Saravilla welcomes guests from all over the world. The innkeepers are internationalists who have lived and worked many years in Europe, Asia and the Middle East and have 15 years experience as bed and breakfast hosts.
