Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company

Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company carries one of the largest selections of seeds from the 19th century, including many Asian, European, and South American varieties. All of the 2,000 varieties of seeds are open pollinated, non-hybrid, non-patented, non-GMO, and non-treated.

Bakersville Pioneer Village consists of the original homestead, the seed store, herbal apothecary, natural stone oven, jail, blacksmith shop, general mercantile, homestead bakery, and a display garden containing 92 raised beds. The vegan restaurant on site is open for lunch Monday through Friday.

The farm also hosts a large selection of heritage poultry, goats, donkey, miniature ponies, bunnies, fish and more. Located just outside Mansfield, Missouri, home of Laura Ingalls Wilder where she wrote the LIttle House books, it is worth a visit. Open Sunday through Friday, it is open all year long except closed on Saturdays. There is never an admission charge except during the large Spring Planting Festival in early May.

Heritage Days Festivals are held the first Sunday of each month, March through October. They feature old time music all day, garden talks, great food, and lots of fun. Admission is free to the Heritage Days Festivals.
