Beaver Brook is New York State’s most complete Outfitter. No other outfitter offers the range of trip types, value, or level of experience that Beaver Brook does. Getting into the heart of the Adirondack Park is what we do, and we do it well. After all, we’ve been at it for over twenty five years! Whether it’s whitewater rafting, fishing, hiking, camping, caving, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, or skiing that lights your fire, Beaver Brook Outfitters can help you stoke the flame.
Six million acres of wilderness are out our front door and we’re here to help you get outside.
Whitewater Rafting is one of our favorite ways to dive into the Adirondacks, and is our most popular guided activity. We offer trips from mild to wild and everywhere in between. Full day, half day, or overnight – Beaver Brook has you covered.
Whitewater rafting is a fantastic way to see the Adirondack Park at its best. Imagine experiencing pristine, uninterrupted wilderness between splashes, hoots, and hollers. Your guide–with some help from you–will get you through the whitewater, crack a few jokes, share some history, and maybe even tell a story or two (truth optional) while you take everything in from your seat.
Whether you’re a family reunion, a camp group or a Red Bull sponsored adrenaline junkie, Beaver Brook has a trip that will fit your wants and needs.
Canoe or Kayak on one of the most scenic stretches of the Upper Hudson River from the ONLY PRIVATE LAUNCH SITE ON THIS STRETCH OF RIVER. NO LONG BUS RIDES HERE! This magnificent stretch of river is suitable for the entire family. With trips ranging in length from about 1 ½ hours to all day we have an adventure that will fit your schedule. With just the right amount of current to make it fun, this is a great trip for the first-timer or experienced paddlers.
We offer fully guided canoe trips ranging in length from one day paddles to week long adventures. There are over 2,000 lakes and ponds in the Adirondacks, and traveling by canoe is one of the best ways to access some of the most remote spots in the park. Canoeing is a prime way to observe wildlife while you’re here. It is not uncommon to see bear, deer, beaver, otter, eagles, loons, osprey, mink, muskrat, coyotes and other critters. Canoes also allow us to bring some of the creature comforts that backpackers have to leave home. No freeze dried spaghetti for dinner on these trips!
