Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum

The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM) is one of the most important organizations supporting and promoting fly fishing in the world. And it is the only one that celebrates the uniqueness of the Catskills – the birthplace of American dry fly fishing.

Individuals come to the museum to explore fly fishing by casting into the legendary Willowemoc Creek - and to build their own bamboo fly rod in Everett Garrison’s studio or explore fly tying at a symposium or simply to wander the galleries and the grounds.

CFFCM also houses the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame, established to recognize and honor those individuals and groups that have significantly enhanced the culture of fly fishing. Since its inception in 1985 with the induction of Theodore Gordon and Art Flick, some 94 remarkable individuals have been named to the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame. This is an elite group of men and women whose reputations are a part of the history of fly fishing. In their honor, bronze plaques have been displayed on the outside wall of the museum.
