Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce membership is open to individuals/families as well as businesses. Our website lists all our members and their services. We have many accommodations available including a Hampton Inn Suites, Brewster Inn, Lincklaen House, Brae Loch Inn and several Bed and Breakfasts. We have over twenty fine dining choices in our area. We have an historical downtown with unique boutiques for your shopping pleasure. We also have antiques shops in our Village and we are only minutes away from Bouckville with dozens of antique shops and a huge Antiques Festival in August every year attended by hundreds of dealers and thousands of buyers.
Cazenovia also has several parks such as Lorenzo State Historical Park with many events during the seasons. Lorenzo Driving Competition brings over a thousand visitors for a weekend in July with beautiful horses and carriages for a two day competition event. The Chamber also welcomes the Franklin Car Club the first week of August each year. They are on display at the Cazenovia College quad and kick the week off each year with a parade of nearly 50 cars on Sunday.
The Chamber with several businesses sponsor free concerts in Lakeland Park from the end of June thru August on Thursday evenings. This park has a beach for swimming in our beautiful Cazenovia Lake. We have a yacht club and private Tennis Club, two golf courses, and several fields for various sports. We have Cazenovia College with a thousand students nestled in the center of our village. There is a boat launch available at Lakeside Park which is open from May thru Columbus Day in October. A permit is required and daily permits are available at the launch which has an attendant from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m..
If you like to hike we have many trails both in and out of the village which are used year round for walking, biking, running, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. If you like races we have a Chilly Chili race in January every year, a Fools Food Truck 5K in April, a huge 4th of July 5K and 10K around the lake, and a Harvest Dash and Pumpkin Run in the Fall and a Snow Flake run as part of our Winter Festival the first week of February.
If you like to fly kites the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Cazenovia is the place to come. It is a large park with all kinds of outdoor sculptures and trails to walk and admire the many exhibits. There is a Kite Fest in the Spring each year. The middle of August each year the Art Park hold their Pottery Fest for two days with many artists on site. You can make your own pottery or purchase from the many on display.
Cazenovia has many resident artists with many talents in oil and water color painting, weaving, woodworking, jewelry design and clothing just to mention a few. Over thirty of these artist have a shop Cazenovia Artisans that displays and sells their work. The college also has an art gallery that is open for special events.
The community Public Library is very busy with community activities for all ages. The Chamber announces their events in our monthly newsletter on the Chamber website. They also have an awesome museum with a real mummy which has had an x-ray and there is research about him. There are also many other interesting rooms to explore while visiting the museum.
If you like parades and festivals we have those also. Memorial Day and Fourth of July are the big parades. The Teddy Bear Parade is the cutest with over a hundred participants. We have Critz Farms with Maple Syrup Festival in April, Apple Blossom Festival in May, Blueberry Jam Festival in August, Fall Harvest Festival from Sep thru Oct and Holiday Family Fun end of Nov thru mid Dec. Lorenzo has their annual "Christmas at Lorenzo" with sleigh rides, tours of the decorated mansion and gift shop open first week of December.
We also have a huge Farmer's Market every Saturday from 9 to 4 in the Village with nearly forty vendors open from first weekend in May to last weekend in October. We then are blessed to have two winter Farmer's Markets the first Saturday and the third Saturday of November thru April.
We have many clubs and civic organizations in our community: American Legion Post 88, Caz Cares, Cazenovia Lake Association, Lions Club, Preservation Foundation, Friends of Lorenzo, Friends of the Library, Project Cafe, Rotary Club, SCORE, The Cazenovia Forum, Garden Club, Golf Club, Country Club, Willow Bank Yacht Club, Cazenovia Artisans, Community Resources for Independent Seniors (CRIS) and CRIS CAT, Cazenovia Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Cazenovia Area Senior Association.
We have several banks to choose from, fitness centers, bowling ally, grocery market, archery, photo shops, animal hospitals, medical groups, dentists, attorneys, jewelry stores, plumbing and heating, community preschool, children's center, several churches, dance schools, college and public school, trash removal, flower shop, chocolate shop, many gift shop
