This restored 1818 Greek revival mansion is located on the scenic Erie Barge Canal just 12 miles from Syracuse in Central New York. The Schroeppel Homestead, now known as River Edge Mansion was the home to the first school room in the area and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. This lovely old home has been restored to display its original charm and elegance and retains most of the original moldings, interior window shutters, a tin ceiling, a cherry ceiling and five fireplaces.
Four beautifully appointed guestrooms furnished with fine antiques and oriental rugs will satisfy the most discerning guest. The mansion has central air and wireless internet is available throughout the B&B. Guest rooms offer flat screen TVs with DVD players. A complimentary glass of wine, coffee or tea and cookies or a charcuterie board is offered upon arrival.
Docking is offered on the Oneida River with water and electricity hookup. Ask about a riverboat dinner cruise with Captain Steve aboard our canal boat the Ella C! Delight in a two and a half hour sunset cruise on the canal while enjoying dinner grilled on the boat.
