Flying Ohio Hot Air Balloon Rides for over 35 years and now celebrating our 35th year as Gentle Breeze Hot Air Balloon Company, Ltd! Continuing the tradition near Dayton, Ohio and Cincinnati, Ohio since 1980, modern-day hot air balloon flights only date back to the mid 1970’s, resulting in Gentle Breeze Hot Air Balloon Company as Ohio’s fore-running Hot Air Balloon Ride vendor. Your once-in-a-lifetime Hot Air Balloon experience starts right here at Gentle Breeze Hot Air Balloon; we take your safety as our primary objective. With the oldest, continuously operating full time & year round Hot Air Balloon Ride vendor, we service, sell-to, and train other hot air balloon pilots around Cincinnati, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio; we have even trained our own competition!
Our operations originally established in 1978 and re-established in 1988 under current ownership. Gentle Breeze Hot Air Balloon Company, Ltd. offers a wide variety of ballooning services. As a full-time and full service hot air balloon company featuring rides, sales, Southern Ohio FAA-certified maintenance & inspection facility, (FAA #R4BR027N), instruction, corporate advertising, as well as retaining SW Ohio's only FAA designated pilot examiner AND minister on staff. Our ride balloons carry between 2 and 10 passengers in one balloon; however our capacity allows us to carry 20+ in multiple balloons per flight. We also manage several corporate contracts and a 'golf' ball shaped balloon.
While based in Southern Ohio, our services extend worldwide! We maintain two additional balloons based in Scotland, UK and pilot the only hot air balloon in the South Pacific.
All flights provide a full 3-hour experience! Your ballooning excursion starts off with a pre-flight safety briefing, followed by preparation and inflation of the balloon. Want to know more? Join in the fun as you participate in the preparations!
The excitement builds! Climb aboard the basket for your flight and fly with the birds for approximately 1 hour. The final landing occurs down wind, where your pilot navigates toward remains a secret until your there. Here, after packing away the equipment, transport provided back to the original departure point via one of our special recovery vehicles by our professional & courtesy crew chief.
But wait, there's more! Before final good-byes, all passengers receive amenities such as champagne toast with souvenir cups & first flight certificates available upon request. Other souvenirs such as Photos, T-shirts, Champagne Flutes & Hats available for purchase. Complimentary bottle water & soft drinks always available. *Non-alcoholic sparkling available upon request and for guests under the age of 21.
