Transport yourself to the 1700's at the Brinton 1704 House & Historic Site. The House, built in 1704 by the Brintons, a Quaker family, is one of the oldest in Pennsylvania. It has been restored to its original state and features furniture and other pieces from the 1700’s, including some that are original to the Brinton family. Today the Brinton family includes thousands of descendants spread across the country. Both the Brinton family and the 1704 House itself have woven themselves through colonial and American history.
The House is open for tours, where you can immerse yourself in the life of a family in 18th century Pennsylvania. Whether it is the impressive and intricate clock, the remarkable drawing of a ship on a bedroom wall, or the stories that complement the array of things to see, the House is sure to provide visitors a new appreciation for life and material culture in colonial Pennsylvania.
The House is open for tours Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 - 5:00, May through October. Tours are available other times by appointment. Hope to see you there!
