Nestled along the banks of Pennypack Creek, Louie's Old Mill, which opened in the summer of 2016, is a rustic farm to table BYOB with Italian classics. We specialize in mouthwatering old-school Italian dishes, farm to table additions and signature desserts inside the newly renovated historic building.
Built in 1724, Louie's Old Mill — previously the Old Mill Inn — is Hatboro's oldest building, and one of the oldest grist mills in Pennsylvania. The 5,500+ square foot structure has been completely restored from top to bottom.
Louie's Old Mill features 120 seats split between two floors and seasonal, outdoor dining available on a patio adjacent to the creek. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner , with private events held in our third floor banquet room.
Chef Lee Bauer is a Milton Hershey alum with roots in Warminster and Pittsburgh. The restaurant has already seen an incredibly positive response. His experience with agriculture and farm life drives his passion for local sourcing and rustic fare.
Bauer wanted to keep the classic dishes and embrace the “Farm to Cucina” type approach for his vision with the seasonal local ingredients available from farms in PA. Fresh pasta from Talluto’s in Norrtistown, fresh fish from the Fish Market in Philadelphia and cured meats from Di Bruno Brothers in South Philly.
In addition to classic Italian specialties, Louie's Old Mill features over-the-top desserts. Massive ice cream sundaes, a variety of milkshakes and a trio of cannoli options, among many other standouts, will lure dessert lovers from miles away.
