Madeleine is a traditional built Bermuda rig schooner designed to take guest on a remarkable sailing experience through historic Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. We offer a 1 ½ hour Day Sail that allows passengers to experience the thrill of the breeze filling the sails as we glide past various estates, islands and lighthouses. While not formally narrated, our crew is very knowledgeable on the area and point out a variety of highlights while tending lines and sails.
Madeleine also has a Sunset Sail every evening complete with champagne and beer. You can experience all the attraction of our Day Sail with the added bonus of basking in a golden sunset while sipping champagne. Madeleine’s Sunset Sail is probably the most popular cruise that we offer.
For your convenience, a restroom is available on board. Reservations are highly suggested, particularly on weekends and Sunset Sails. Madeleine sails from end of April through the 1st weekend in November. Beautiful sights abound throughout the trip so make sure to bring a camera. Sunscreen also suggested on Day Sails
