The Upper Room Chapel and Christian Art Museum

The Upper Room Chapel features two biblical upper room events. The chancel wall features a nearly life size woodcarving of The Last Supper, patterned after Leonardo da Vinci's painting of The Last Supper. The chancel area continues the theme of the painting with heavy timbered ceiling, tapestry walls and a 15 ft. long altar table. Located at the chapel's entrance is The World Christian Fellowship window. It is 20 ft. high and 8 wide with over 9000 pieces of stained glass. The window portrays the story of Pentecost and Heroes of Faith, people influential throughout Christian history. Worship Services are held every Wednesday morning at 8:30-9:00 AM.

The Christian art museum displays paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, furniture and artifacts from around the world dating from 12th - 21st centuries. There are two Seasonal museum exhibits. The Night of the Child features 130 international nativity scenes ranging in size from 1 inch to 4 feet in height, folk art to exquisite porcelains and woodcarvings. Over 35 cultures are represented in the nativity scenes. The painting gallery reflects portrayals of the Holy Family. This exhibit runs from November through the end of January. March 1st through the end of May features the Faces of the Passion of Christ exhibit. Over 50 Ukrainian eggs along with sculptures, international Last Suppers designs, paintings and artifacts tell the stories of persons surrounding Jesus during his teaching years and Passion Week.

The Agape Garden represents the appearances of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Resurrection Garden and the Samarian Woman at the Well. Primarily a sculpture garden and fountain this garden is beautiful year round.

The Upper Room is an interdenominational ministry and publisher of The Upper Room Daily Devotional Guide. The gift shop and bookstore carry Upper Room publications, souvenirs and gifts. The suggested donation is $5.00. Bus, van and car parking are provided free of charge. Open Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 4:30. Closed weekends and holidays. Call for special holiday hours.
