Explore the Crossroads of History, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean.
Opening with the history of the early Chinook Indian Nation and cycling through later European exploration, Pioneer settlement and vibrant industry of the area, the Museum's four permanent galleries include interactive video and Railroad displays, life size model village, and transplanted historic depot and Pullman narrow-gauge train car.
The Museum's special exhibition gallery presents a schedule of 3-5 exhibits per year. Many of the exhibitions are organized by the museum and feature artworks and objects of local and national importance. The museum also hosts traveling exhibitions by organizations such as the Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibitions (SITES) and the Washington State Historical Society, Traveling Exhibition Service.
