Justin Trails Resort is minutes away from the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail, the very first rails-to-trails established in 1965. There are also beautiful meandering backroads through Amish Country to ride your bike or motorcycle. This area boasts the largest Amish population with 300 families. A 10 minute drive from Justin Trails Resort will bring you to Red Rock Trail Rides where you can take a horseback trail ride. The horses are shiny, well cared for, beautiful and matched to your skill and ability. Sparta, about 10 minutes away has an Aquatic Park, interesting shops, excellent dining options, museums and the unique FAST Corp, the premier manufacturer of fiberglass statues and water park attractions both nationally and internationally since 1983. In the midst of the Monroe County countryside north of Sparta, you'll find a fantastic garden of concrete sculpture decorated with thousands of glittering glass shards. Transforming ordinary materials into an ambitious series of patriotic and religious monuments, Paul and Matilda Wegner created a remarkable "Grotto." About 30 minutes away is the city of Ontario where you can kayak or canoe the Kickapoo River with beautiful sandstone cliffs and evergreens lining the crookedest river in Wisconsin. Nearby are Wildcat Mountain and the Kickapoo Valley Reserve (8000 acres of untouched beauty). Both offer beautiful hiking trails with scenic overlooks. During winter at Justin Trails Resort, cross-country ski right out of your cabin and we offer ski rentals. We also have snowshoe trails and rentals. A favorite at any age are our two sledding hills, we include snow tubes. Skijoring is where a dog pulls you on skiis. (like waterskiing, only the dog is the boat) We own two Husky's who love to skijor or we can teach your dog to skijor. Any season is a great time to stay with us at Justin Trails Resort.
