Our story kicks off in 1994: Gaston Acurio and Astrid Gutsche, newly arrived from studying culinary arts in Paris, founded the restaurant in a small house in the district of Miraflores. In the beginning very French, in line with the global trend. Then, over the years, decidedly Peruvian; willing to reassess ingredients and recipes, and with the clear goal in mind of promoting Peruvian cuisine in the world.
In our twentieth anniversary, we left Cantuarias to start a new project: settle in Casa Moreyra, the old style house of the San Isidro Hacienda, which is more than 300 years old. During 2016, after a two years of absence , Gaston and Astrid return home . With them, with a team of young chefs , his proposal again renew completely.
