Visit the Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham for a great family day out whatever the weather. Learn about the natural history of the nature reserve and discover a range of interactive puzzles, and activities to keep the whole family entertained. The displays give a lifelike and attractive representation of the nature reserve, reedbeds and their habitats and wildlife. Our friendly staff are happy to help with wildlife identification and questions. Take a stroll around the lake, feed the ducks and let off some steam in the adventure playgrounds. Follow the footpaths around the nature reserve, take your binoculars and visit the bird hide. Learn more from our seasonal trails. The Centre hosts a programme of inspiring and educational events throughout the year for everyone to enjoy.
The Lakeside Café offers a delicious range of homemade refreshments. Visit for lunch or for some of our scrumptious cake and cup of tea. From our gift shop pick up a memento of your visit, a book to help improve your wildlife knowledge or just a cute cuddly toy to take home.

Car parking and admission to the centre are free. We welcome donations.
