Undercover Rock is Bristol's original climbing centre! Based inside a 15th century church in the heart of St. Werburgh's, this stunning venue is a great place for climbers of all abilities, from novices to professionals and veterans.
With varying grades and walls (with some up to 13 metres high) and a designated bouldering area, it's a hub for the local climbing community to train and learn inside to perfect their skills. There's also a variety of clubs for all abilities including the Over 55's Climbing Club and Rockhopppers courses for children as young as 5.
If you’re an established climber, you’ll need to complete our waiver and then you can climb. If you haven’t climbed before you can either join one of our Taster Sessions or go straight onto an Adult Introduction where you’ll learn how to climb safely.

We also have a cafe serving up freshly made sandwiches and toasties, along with local roasted coffee and tea.
Situated just a short distance from the city centre, Undercover Rock is easy to get to and there are buses and cycle routes to get you here along with ample on street parking. Montpelier is the nearest train station.
