All aboard! If you are looking for a First Class family day out, look no further than a Steaming Day at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, where you and your children can experience a ride on a real steam engine! You can also take a trip on our ride-on miniature steam engine (£1 per person), visit our magnificent exhibition hall, and spend some time in our beautiful glass-roofed visitor centre with café, shop and stunning vintage locomotives on display.
We are open for Steam Train Rides every Sunday from Easter to Halloween, as well as Wednesdays during the school holidays. We are also open certain Saturdays and Bank Holiday Mondays when we hold special events like our famous Days Out With Thomas™, Steam Galas and Traction Engine Rallies – you can find all our Special Events on our website. We are also open Tuesdays and Thursdays for Static Viewing (and Wednesdays in school term-time), when you can come and look around the site, but no rides will be running.
