A fun and friendly attraction, Bodmin Keep: Cornwall's Army Museum is recognised as probably the finest Military Museum in the South West of England. Our displays cover the story of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, the volunteers and volunteer militia and the successor Regiment, The Light Infantry - as well as holding many other unexpected and surprising objects!

Housed in The Keep at Bodmin, which is a Grade II listed building constructed at the time of the Napoleonic threats, the collection tells the story of the County Regiment, the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry (DCLI), from 1702 until the present date, as well as holding the National Collection of the Light Infantry.

Home to probably the finest collection of weaponry in the South West. Our collections also include medals, uniform through the ages, and fine arts and crafts.

Here at Bodmin Keep we have special events all year round, including Living history, historical re-enactments, school and group visits and special exhibitions. We are a dog and child friendly museum!
