As seen on Channel 4's ''Four in a Bed'', Appalachian Spring is a former farmhouse with a beautiful south-facing garden and patio in rural Dartington village, close to award-winning 14th-century thatched Cott Inn and is one mile from Totnes station and medieval Dartington Hall Estate. A walk to Totnes via the footpath outside the garden gate is marked on local maps.
The owner Toni is a viola player and Alexander Technique teacher, and she offers 2 en-suite double rooms, each with a luxuriously comfortable 5' bed and designer cotton sheets.In addition, Elmhirst offers a sofa which can turn into a bed suitable for one adult or two small children. Holst also contains a 3' single bed and it has a separate bathroom with a modern cast iron bath, with an electric shower as well. A 'welcome' pack of organic locally made fudge and some biscuits are in each room with a carafe of filtered water.
Delicious breakfasts are served at flexible times and include high quality local bacon sausages and eggs. Vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests are welcome and catered for.
There is free parking, wifi, tea/coffee making facilities in each room. Sadly, no pets allowed. There is a dog in residence , but he is kept separately from guests, unless requested.
