Martleaves Farm Campsite

Martleaves Farm Campsite is located between Weymouth and Portland in Dorset on the stunning Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. We are a licenced site with 20 pitches for vans and 20 for tents. The campsite is open 365 days a year with hard standing pitches available during wet weather.

Set in 34 acres of glorious countryside, this is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers. Nestling on the coastline adjacent to the world famous Chesil Beach we are lucky enough to have all the benefits of the rural countryside, the nearby seaside town of Weymouth, and Portland, the site of the 2012 Olympics.

We are a working farm and at times there will be horses walked through the campsite from the stables early in the mornings, manure (!), and occasional noise from farm machinery. We have alpacas, Shetland ponies, horses, pet pigs, free range chicken, ducks, geese and sheep so dogs should be kept on leads until away from the farm. We have a footpath leading down to the sea which is just 300 metres from the farm where dogs can be let off their leads.

We are a licensed site with 40 pitches. We have centrally heated luxury shower and toilet blocks, a Gent's wetroom, and separate toilets on the yard. We have a laundry room with fridge freezer and inside and outside sinks. Showers and toilets are cleaned and replenished daily. There is a hose on the farmyard if you wish to use it to clean muddy dogs and boots.

In the farmhouse porch we have for sale our free range rare breed chicken, bantam, duck and goose eggs when available along with homemade marmalade, jam and chutney and sometimes we sell garden produce. In the farmhouse kitchen we often serve takeaway bacon baps between 9am and 10am, preferably ordered in advance. We also sell a variety of frozen sausages and dry cured bacon from the local butchery.

We have portable fire pits for hire and firewood is for sale at the farmhouse door. Disposable bbq’s or anything which will burn our grass are not permitted.

Large vehicles should arrive via Langton Avenue and Marlborough Avenue (not Parkmead Road which is too narrow). Please use the South Road entrance, park in the waiting bays and call at the Farmhouse to register and collect your payment tag which should be clearly displayed. Campers with tents and guests with electric hook ups who have not paid in advance are asked to pay on arrival. See our website for availability, to book and to pay online. You will receive a confirmation e mail with your allocated pitch number.

We ask our guests to respect others and keep the noise levels to a minimum, especially after 10pm. Campers causing excessive noise will be asked to leave the site.

WiFi on the site is provided by Camping Connect.

Please note that we are a wedding venue and during the Summer months there may be a marquee set up in the adjoining field at the weekends and there will be music playing until 11pm on some Saturdays.
