Whatever the weather there’s always lots of family farmyard fun to be had at Longdown Activity Farm. The daily timetable is packed with hands-on activities which run throughout the day giving ample opportunity to see and feed the animals. Have a go at bottle-feeding a kid goat or even a calf! Maybe hold a duckling or baby rabbit in the animal-handling barn. The pigs are waiting to meet you – and you may even see some piglets.

There are lots of animals to meet including cows, ponies, donkeys (miniature donkeys too), alpacas, pigs, goats galore, rabbits, ducks and geese…and lots of new babies, like our fluffy chicks.

Don’t miss the tractor and trailer rides (ground conditions permitting) – it’s very bumpy! The children can let off steam in the fabulous outdoor play area, which is ideal for a picnic too. If the weather is bad there are three brilliant indoor play areas which include a soft play area, trampoline barn, and a huge straw barn.

The Longdown Farm Shop, situated at the entrance to the Farm, is stocked with a wide range of delicious local produce. Call in for tasty meat, sausages, vegetables, bread, dairy products, cakes, and so much more. There is no charge to visit the Longdown Farm Shop, which is open to visitors and non-visitors to the Activity Farm.

Tearoom, gift shop, picnic areas, nappy changing and quiet room, plus disabled facilities including our new Changing Room facility which is fitted with an adult-sized changing bed and lifting hoist.

Open daily from Feburary half-term to the end of October half-term from 10am.
