Café Mauresque is an atmospheric Andalucían/ North African Oasis located in the heart of the historic City of Canterbury. Moorish inspired establishments are hidden from the outside, uniquely decorated with colourful tiles and lanterns offering an intimate and warm experience so escape the hustle and bustle of Canterbury’s cobbled streets and be swept below into our lantern lit cellar restaurant.

Renowned for its food and service which stems from the strength of its team, our chefs offer a wide range of well-regarded unique dishes from Morocco and Spain, such as Tagines, Couscous, Paella and many Tapas! The quality of the food is produced from the freshness of its ingredients; sourced where possible from quality local suppliers. Distinctive herbs and warm spices, slow-cooked stews and delicate flavours, our food is passionately prepared, big on flavour, remaining true to the origins of the dishes.
Vegetarians and ‘Gluten frees’ are also well catered for, we are proud to have had for over 10 years had a separate Vegan Menu.
