The Mill is influenced by its rich heritage as a 19th century cotton mill – but has a vision focused firmly on the future.
As well as being a welcoming café and social hub open to all, The Mill also offers information and light-touch therapies in a relaxed environment, tailored to those facing life-shortening illnesses. The idea is to help people help themselves and each other to live more comfortably and independently.
Rooms are also available to hire to local groups and organisations to host everything from business meetings to craft sessions.
The Mill is set within St Catherine's Park - a green space which includes the St Catherine's Wetland and Woodland Reserve and a small sensory garden.
It operates as a social enterprise, with all profits generated ploughed back into supporting the specialised care of St Catherine's Hospice.
So whether you’re calling by for a coffee, popping in to access some advice or stopping by to sign up for a yoga class, we’re very much looking forward to seeing you soon!
Our welcoming café serves up hearty and wholesome dishes lovingly prepared using locally sourced, seasonal produce.
There’s everything from top quality barista coffees – including our own unique St Catherine’s blend – to cakes, soups, salads, sandwiches, afternoon teas and full meals on offer. We run special theme evenings & events, and the cafe is available to here for private celebrations.
You can relax and unwind in a tranquil spot, whilst enjoying a treat from the varied, seasonal menu. The café and the rest of the building also benefits from free WiFi, making it a perfect choice for business meetings – particularly as it’s just minutes from the major motorway networks of the M6, M61 and M65.
And the best bit? All profits raised through the café will go back to supporting the specialised care of St Catherine’s Hospice.
