Birstall Golf Club is 6239 yards long with a par of 70 and standard scratch score of 71 from the men’s competition tees and is a delight to play, providing a fair and exciting challenge to the golfer. There are superb greens and fairways with some very challenging tree-lined holes on a layout which is fairly easy to walk. The course and the facilities of the clubhouse ensure that members and visitors alike can enjoy a pleasant but challenging round and a friendly, sociable conclusion to their visit. Societies are most welcome at Birstall Golf Club and we are easy to find being close to Leicester. We offer a wide range of society golf packages to suit Sports Clubs, Corporate Businesses or just a group of friends that enjoy a round of golf.
We offer a range of membership options for men, ladies and juniors. These range from full 7 day membership that give golfers the opportunity to play in a wide range of competitions throughout the year to temporary membership. Five day members can enjoy golf from Monday to Friday and play in competitions on Tuesdays for ladies and Thursdays for men. We offer generous discounts for membership in the under 35 age group as well as full facilities for juniors and full-time students. Mixed golf is also highly popular at Birstall and we also offer corporate golf membership tailored to suit the requirements of your company. For the competitive golfer we run a number of teams for both ladies and men and whether you play off a low or high handicap there will be a team appropriate to your standard.
No round of golf is complete without the reward of a well-earned drink and a tasty bite to eat. Birstall’s Clubhouse has a warm and welcoming atmosphere for members, players or those simply looking for lunch with friends. The spacious lounge bar, with its view across the tree-lined fairway of the 1st and across the 9th hole, provides the perfect spot to relax, take some refreshment and reflect on your game. Both our lounge bar and our sports bar are well stocked with a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits and a choice of soft drinks. Hot and cold food is served daily seven days a week with breakfast, lunch and snacks available to eat in the sports bar, lounge or dining room, a large comfortable room looking out on to the putting green. There is also a patio area which is a favoured place to sit on warm summer days. You can catch up with various sporting events in the sports bar or lounge on one of our two large television screens. The Clubhouse has free Wi-Fi, perfect for those looking to check for that important e-mail.
We also have a well-stocked Pro Shop which offers the very latest in technology from top manufacturers Ping, Titleist, Wilson, Scotty Cameron, Footjoy, Mizuno, Motocaddy, Glenbrae and Skechers. Whatever the occasion Birstall Golf Club is able to offer the best in both comfort and convenience. Wedding receptions, birthday and anniversary parties, christenings and funeral receptions can all be catered for by our in-house team. You will enjoy fantastic views across our beautiful golf course as well as our outside patio area. In our spacious function room we can accommodate up to 120 guests or slightly more for a buffet. We also have a small conference room available which is perfect for meetings.
