The Kielder Cycle Centre is located in Kielder village right in the heart of Kielder Water and Forest Park, a true wilderness destination which is now designated as one of the largest Dark Sky Parks in the UK. There are over 100 miles of man made traffic free cycle trails within the Park, all accessible within a few minutes from our Hire Centre. The Lakeside Way follows the full 26 mile perimeter of Kielder Water and is family friendly, with lots of artworks and sculptures along the way, as well as places to stop for refreshments. A slightly more challenging route would be the Osprey trail (blue grade) which has a short and long option. Beyond this we have three red grade trails with some black grade sections for the hardcore riders.

We have bike suited to all abilities - mountain bikes, hybrids, kids bikes and also tag a longs, buggies, childseats etc. As well as regular pedal bikes we are a Test Centre for Haibike, Raleigh and Lapierre electric bikes. Ebikes are becoming very popular and we have a large fleet available to hire as well as bikes for sale. We also stock high end full suspension MTB's from Santa Cruz, with some demo bikes available to "try before you buy".
Our fully equipped fleet of hybrid bikes are particularly suitable for the longer distance cycle routes passing through Northumberland, such as the C2C, Reivers Route, Coast and Castles and Hadrians Cycleway and we can arrange transport of bikes and riders to either end of these routes.

The Kielder Cycle Centre is a one stop shop for cycle trail information and maps. We also stock a wide range of cycle clothing and accessories from all the leading brands. A fully equipped workshop is also there to help you with any mechanical issues.
Kielder Cycle Centre operates all year round and we also have a seasonal hire facility at Kielder Waterside open from 1st April till end of October.
