The house dates back to the 1750’s and retains fine original features. We are approx 750 feet above sea level here, and the air is clean and pure. A footpath runs past our front door and the only traffic is the occasional walker or horse rider. The views from here are amazing, the peace and tranquility are second to none, making Lodge House B&B an ideal place for a stress-relieving break, away from the hustle and bustle of busy everyday life.We have 2 B&B rooms currently available, the Lilac room is a 1st floor twin room, with modern attributes such as USB charging point, smart TV and power shower in the adjacent shower room, but also with antique touches. The Blue room is a 2nd floor room, ensuite with a wet room (which has slightly restricted headroom, due to an old beam). This too has modern touches and some antique furniture, but not the beds which were brand new in 2015.
Breakfast can be full English cooked, or any part thereof, or vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets catered for. We always serve fresh fruit and yoghurts, home made bread and preserves and eggs from our own hens.
Your host is also a complementary therapist who can offer Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy massage at an extra cost.
