Since the arrival of the Landlord, Alan, three years ago, The Crown has under gone vast improvements which has earned its excellent reputation and ever-growing popularity in the area.
We serve five real ales from around the country at any one time with excellent homemade meals available all day, everyday. We are proud of our reputation for high quality – quality beer, quality food and quality service, together with a warm welcome and a friendly environment where we are always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble. The pub is at the heart of the local community with a Monday Night Film Club, a thriving Tuesday quiz night, live music once a week (including open Mic nights and the Wiltshire Blues Sessions once a month) Mountain Bike Hire, a Thursday night Steak night, regular cider, beer and wine festivals and a crib team – everything you would expect from a local.
We have four spacious, recently refurbished, en-suite letting rooms which include Freeview Television, Tea/Coffee making facilities, free WiFi and a full English breakfast.
Just a short drive to the historic market towns of Marlborough and Hungerford and the historic Avebury Rings, Silbury Hill and Stonehenge. Just a short drive from the M4, The Crown is an ideal base for walking the Ridgeway, a visit or a spot of lunch along the way.
