A romantic 16th century pink castle hidden away in a tree lined park, close to the beautiful Banffshire Coast. Sitting in 40 acres of grounds Park is filled with antique furniture and the walls our hung with our private collection of mainly British Romantic Art.
The gardens, which had undergone considerable landscaping in Victorian times, is still a work in progress but now boast picturesque waterfalls, several ponds, an orchard, woodland walks, a laburnum avenue, a rhododendron tunnel and a rose garden.
We would hope anyone who decides to stay with us will have a most memorable experience, staying in the castle and sharing many of the public rooms we love. All the reception rooms have wood burning stoves or open fires for a very comfortable feeling on colder nights and fresh flowers, where possible - from our own gardens, are arranged through the interior of the castle.
As to cuisine, we try to locally source food for a great Scottish breakfast wherever possible, the sausages may even come from our very own Highland Cows on occasion.
