Grampian Transport Museum

Enjoy a treasure house of transport history at the Grampian Transport Museum. Follow the history of travel and transport in the north east of Scotland through dramatic displays, working exhibits and video presentations.

The Grampian Transport Museum is a living museum of land travel and transport. A visit includes climb aboard vehicle exhibits, extensive use of video and some great temporary exhibitions. There is also an exciting events programme, where you can experience rides on a road circuit in a wide range of historic and modern vehicles.

We are open daily 10am – 5pm from March 26th 2017 until the end of September, and then 10am – 4pm in October until we close on Sunday 29th.

We have a wonderful collection for 2017 including the Guy Martin collection; Guy has very kindly loaned us several items from his personal collection including a stunning Rolls Royce Merlin engine from a Spitfire. We also have several of his motorbikes plus the Gravity racer which he crashed spectacularly at 90mph.

Every year the museum aims to refresh 1/3 of the displays and the updates continue with a Ford Focus WRC, driven by the late Scottish champion Colin McRae in 2001.
