Opened in 1902, The Gaiety is one of Scotland’s oldest theatres, set in the heart of Ayrshire.
We’re a community owned and run organisation with an overall aim to engage more people in high quality arts. Our 568-seater Main Auditorium and Studio Theatre makes us the leading performing arts venue in Ayrshire and the biggest between Glasgow and England. We welcome over 65,000 people every year to over 300 performances and work with 4,000 people annually in community venues across Ayrshire to improve the well-being of those living with dementia in care homes, introduce young people from rural communities to drama and help young people gain skills, qualifications and employment in Technical Theatre.
