Stradey Castle is the home of the Mansel Lewis family. The Stradey estate, on the edge of Llanelli, has been in the family for some 200 years. The present House has remained virtually unchanged since it was built around 1850, and extended in the 1870's.
Heritage Tours allow you to visit Stradey Castle and learn all about its fascinating history. Stradey, which has been in the Mansel Lewis family for five generations, is one of the finest Mid-Victorian houses in South Wales.

Heritage Tours will nearly always be conducted by the present owner – Patrick Mansel Lewis – and must be pre-booked (booking form below). During 2016, tours will be held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month between April and September, with a family tour on Wednesday 1st June during Half Term week. They will start at 2.30pm and last about one hour, followed by light refreshments in the dining room.

It is also possible to explore the large collection of trees and shrubs in the Woodland Garden, many of which favour the acid soil and mild climate to be found at Stradey. If you are particularly interested in visiting the garden, please let us know when you book.
