Pen y Bont Caravan and Camping Bala, in the Snowdonia National Park is a fantastic base for many of the areas outdoor activities including Sailing, Walking, Canoeing, Kayaking and Sightseeing. Alternatively you can just relax in our beautiful and peaceful site, take in the local scenery and enjoy the Beautiful Mountains, Lakes and Coastlines, Lake Vyrnwy and many other Tourist Attractions close by. We offer a unique and friendly service whether you are camping, glamping or touring in a caravan or motorhome.
Many of our guests come to our campsite in Bala, Snowdonia, because we have been recommended to them by their friends. One of the reasons for this is the sheer quality and friendly atmosphere of our campsite. Pen y Bont campsite is a quiet and peaceful family run touring park situated 100 yds from Bala Lake at the gateway of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. We have been awarded Four Star campsite status by the Wales Tourist Board, Four Pennants by the AA and have been awarded the Top UK site for Watersports.
The Caravan and Campsite itself covers six acres and has been sensitively landscaped and developed to accommodate a combination of 95 Touring Caravan, Motor Home and Tent pitches intermingled with trees.

The campsite offers it’s visitors an excellent base to relax and unwind enjoy the environment and explore North Wales – Mountains and Coasts, Snowdonia and Lake Vyrnwy.
With it’s natural surroundings the Caravan and Campsite creates a tranquil and relaxed holiday environment and attracts customers seeking a quiet rural retreat. Generally we cater for small families, couples and single travellers, groups by prior arrangement only.

Glamping
There is also the option to go ‘glamping‘ in our traditional Romany Gypsy Caravans.

Pet Friendly Camping
Don’t leave your dogs at home the site is Pet Friendly, they are part of your family and welcome on our park, they must however be kept on a lead or secured whilst on the park itself, though there are plenty of great dog walks just around the corner.

Whether you are in caravan, motor home or tent, you can travel light as there is a well stocked shop/reception area catering for all your camping needs from tent pegs, airbeds & other accessories, to fresh bread, milk, free range eggs, local cheese etc. Fresh BBQ meat (which can be kept cold in our reception fridge) and gifts made by local artists and artisans. Calor gas and camping Gaz is available for purchase and WiFi available.
