De Wingerd is located in a quiet residential area, offers 4 spacious and well-equipped en-suite Rooms and 1 De Lux Orchid's Cottage, all of which overlooking the beautiful garden and the large swimming-pool, and enjoying superb views on Grande Roche vineyards, Paarl valley, and the majestic Hottentots mountain range.

De Wingerd is owned by a couple of Africa-loving Belgians who was charmed by this place at first glance, and decided to offer their guests a Lodge of high quality standards, both as comfort of the amenities is concerned, as the qualities of services offered, in particular a fabulous buffet-breakfast, served on the main terrace.

Close to De Wingerd, you can visit fabulous places, among which centuries-old wineries, do "bird-watching" while hiking through the mountains, and taste the outstanding local wines and south-African cuisine (still not well-known outside South-Africa), all of which are easy reach from De Wingerd, and that will ensure you an unforgettable stay in the Winelands region. Sport activities are also numerous in the area, and include horse riding, canoeing, hot air ballooning, golf, gun-club for shooting etc...

Also, you can enjoy pristine white sand beaches as close as Somerset West, at only 30minutes drive from De Wingerd, or a little further, in Hermanus, where you can have an experience of a lifetime by "shark -diving" in the ocean.
