“A Must-See while in Phnom Penh!”

Killing Fields & S21 Shuttle Bus Tour now is available on an air-conditioned tour bus. The tour will start when all hotel pick-ups are completed. The bus will take you to Genocide Museum, also know as Prison S21 under Khmer Rouge regime. Recorded English commentary will be played on the bus, giving you some basic background about this prison. The bus attendant will explain some guidelines about the visit. Audio tour is available at a cost $3, in-house guide can be hired as well for USD $2/person, or you can visit the museum by yourself. The prison is composed by 4 buildings, and there are different exhibition on different floors or rooms. Two prison survivors sometimes will come to the museum and talk to the visitors. The visit time of the museum is about 1 hour.

Then the bus will head to the Killing Fields. The drive will take about 40 mins. On the way to the Killing Fields, a documentary will be played on the bus, you will learn more about Khmer Rouge regime. Audio tour in 15 languages is also available at The Killing Fields at a cost of $3. If you take the Audio Tour, you will receive a headphone and a control device with numbered buttons. You can follow the map provided and start the Audio Tour. The visit time at the Killing Fields is about 1 hour 15 mins. As the written information is very limited at the Killing Fields, we recommend you to take the audio tour.

If you take the trip in the morning, you will be back to your hotel by 1pm; and if you like to be dropped off at riverside where you want to visit the royal palace, silver pagoda and national museum, you can just tell the tour assistant, our driver is very happy to drop you off there for your convenience.
if you take the trip in the afternoon, you will be back to your hotel by 6:30pm; and if you like to be dropped off at the riverside where you want to spend the evening or visit the Night Market, just tell the tour assistant.

The bus attendant is not your tour guide. This is not a guided tour.

You must submit your hotel details when you make a booking, as some hotels are not eligible for pickup due to traffic conditions.

Highlight Audio Tour(short version): it is about 1 hour.
* Our visit time assigned at the museum is from 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes depending on the traffic on the road. So you are suggested to take the highlight tour if you take the audio tour.
Extensive Audio Tour(long version): it is about 2 hours.
* if you are very interested in the history of Khmer Rouge regime and really want to know more or study about it, a half day tour including 2 sites is not enough, we would suggest you to take a private tour in stead.

S21 in-house licensed guide & fees:
In-house guides can be hired at very little money, just $2 per person. The in-house guided tour is about 50 minutes.
* If your English is good, we would like to suggest you to use the in-house guide service, because they can tell you some stories on the exhibits. Please pay $2 to the in-house guide at the end and please prepare small money as they might not have change for you.
* BUT We can not guarantee you that an in-house guide is available when you visit the museum. And in-house guide service is only available for groups, and it is not controlled by us.

Killing Fields Audio Tour: $3
The Killing Fields Audio Tour is available in 15 languages for $3 per person. It includes stories by those who survived the Khmer Rouge, and by the guard and executioner Him Huy. As there is little written information at Killing Fields, we recommend you to take the audio tour.
* We would like to suggest you to take the audio tour at the Killing Fields , and use the in-house guide service at Prison S21.
* When you arrive at the site, please start the tour straight away as the time is tight.
* Please bring some cash for entrance fees and audio tours. The budget is between $6-$12 depending on your needs.
