The Darwin Trailer Boat Club is Darwin’s oldest seaside Club. From its humble origins in 1954, trading from a modified caravan, the Club has grown to become a Darwin institution, a must see if you are in the Top End.
The Club organises regular boating, fishing trips and other community events, including the "epic" Bluewater Classic fishing competition. It's the perfect place to meet for social and sporting occasions. It's not all about fishing enthusiasts though, foodies can enjoy the fruits of the fishing at the Blue Water bistro, which serves excellent local or Australian seafood along with Certified Black Angus Free Range Beef and other favourites, and is open for breakfast (on weekends only during the dry season), lunch and dinner.
Waterfront dining in Darwin has never felt so great! The Club’s westerly aspect is ideal for witnessing Darwin’s famed tropical sunsets. Take a seat under the palms order cold ale and enjoy a truly amazing spectacle as the sun sinks into the horizon. Meanwhile the kids can swim in the pool, play in the shaded playground area or watch a video on the big screen. Families won't be disappointed as they will find one of the best located kid friendly venues in the Top End.
