Cairns Holiday Homes is a listing site for self-catering holiday rental homes in North Queensland. Most of the homes are located in the beach suburbs between Cairns and Palm Cove. Several homes are in the "inner ring" of city suburbs as well as beachfront homes at Bramston Beach and Etty Bay, an hour or so south of Cairns.

Our main customers are families or groups on holiday or visting for a sporting event. A smaller but growing part of our business are tradesmen contractors who usually stay for several weeks rather than 5-10 nights.

We started the website in 2005 with a beachfront cottage and added 2 more houses of our own over the next 5 years. A friend asked to join us in 2010 and over the next 5 years, through word of mouth, we have grown to 30 properties.

Our difference with the major listing sites is that we are Cairns locals and we know all of our listed properties because we photographed them and maintain a close relationship with every owner.

We have lived in North Queensland for more than 30 years. We spent 15 years in the Cooktown area from 1986-2001 where we built and managed a wilderness lodge called Mungumby which is still running today.
