Guests can enjoy the birdlife, farm animals, bushwalks , sit in a hammock by the waterhole, relax around the campfire under the stars and view native wildlife. Designed for sustainable living, the 28 acre property offers double furnished Eco-tents with bush views, some with ensuite, and quad rooms or dorm beds with shared facilities.

Purpose built to be a unique take on eco-friendly living, guests can experience a taste of the Australian countryside just off the main Bruce Highway 3.5 hours north of Brisbane. Ten minutes from the historic town of Childers, and halfway between Hervey Bay and Bundaberg, Childers Eco-lodge is ideally located in the heart of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Childers Eco-lodge is a great base to explore bushwalks, rock pools, mountain biking, beaches, Southern Great Barrier Reef islands, turtle encounters, whale watching, Fraser Island and much more.

Deluxe tents are setup on their own private fenced area with bush views. The 3x4m tents feature a double bed, drawers, bedside tables, solar light and fan, awning and outdoor area. Linen supplied. Ensuite bathrooms are adjacent to some, and a shared Camp kitchen provides cooking facilities.

Dorm beds or quad rooms are great for backpackers or travellers wanting a clean basic bed for the night. Guests have the use of the kitchen, bathrooms, games room and all outdoor facilities. The property features solar power, waterless toilets, onsite greywater treatment, rainwater collection, power and water saving fittings, and recycling.
