We are a small, independent caravan park located on the Severn River just south of Stanthorpe in southern Queensland.
We offer cabin accommodation, each of our cabins come with fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms, with linen and towels supplied. Some also have wood fire heating for our chilly winters. Our non-ensuited cabins, with queen beds and full kitchen facilities offer cheaper accommodation for couples and groups using our clean shower and toilet blocks. We also offer level, drive through camping sites with power and water for travelers with caravans and motorhomes and "bush camping" suitable for those who enjoy camping, without power, along the banks of the river. Here you can enjoy the sounds of all of the birdlife and the frogs that use our waterway and the family of kangaroos who traverse our camping area, as well as enjoying the kookaburras "laughing". Fishing, canoeing and kayaking is also possible along our stretch of river.
From our park you can enjoy walking in one of the three National Parks in our surrounding area. The world famous Girraween National Park is our closest. Beautiful walks (suitable for all fitness levels) set among huge granite boulders with wildflowers and waterfalls, allows visitors to experience our wonderful granite belt region. 4WD enthusiasts can explore Sundown National Park. Bald Rock National Park gives you the longest line of sight from the top of the actual Bald Rock.
Our granite landscape is the perfect setting for growing the grapes that provide the basis for our wonderful Wine Region. Numerous wineries are open to the public showcasing a wide variety of red, white and sparkling wines. All are of a consistently high quality with many of the more unusual varieties. Many cellar doors are open seven days a week. Cyclists can enjoy riding through the trails that lead to the vineyards and can enjoy a lunch in one of the many vineyards.
The regions is also know for the growing of apples, which enjoy our crisp winter climate, strawberries, many types of vegetables. Summer is the time for the strawberries (October to February), apples (December to May) and young people from all over the world come to pick the tomatoes and capsicums that grow over summer.
