Kookaburra Lodge is a 3.5 star boutique Motel hidden within it's own fragrant gardens. Being off the highway provides a quiet, peaceful and private atmosphere, perfect for a couples getaway.

The Motel is located in Yungaburra, Far North Queensland, 70km from Cairns and 10km from Atherton. The Kookaburra Lodge is positioned about 400m from the main business and shopping part of Yungaburra in a quiet end of town, off the main Gillies Hwy. We have 12 Double sized rooms with sitting and separate ensuite. 9 rooms with Queen beds and 3 rooms with Twin beds. All rooms open onto a semi enclosed shared veranda/Tropical garden area. All rooms have Reverse cycle Air-Con, Coffee/Tea making Facilities, Fridge, Colour TV and Free & Paid Wi-Fi Internet connection.

Car parking is away from the rooms in the car park so your not woken up by travellers who might be up early and packing their belongings to get on their way to their next destination.

We have a BBQ Gazebo available for use with all cooking, dining and cleaning utensils and equipment supplied. We also have a wood fired pizza oven that we fire up at least once a week. Extensive Breakfast menu is available and Breakfast is served to the table outside your room where you can dine with the birds and butterfly's. We cater for Gluten Free and Dairy Free diets.

Yungaburra Markets are held on the 4th Saturday of the month with around 350 Stalls your sure to find a special gift or something for yourself. Along with Food Stalls, Local Produce, Arts and Crafts and Clothing.

The Afghanistan Avenue of Honour is also a short drive from the Kookaburra Lodge. Situated on Lake Tineroo its a beautiful spot to reflect. Along with the memorial to the soldiers there is also a memorial for the service dogs.

Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine are a short drive from the lodge where you can enjoy a rainforest walk around the lakes or a refreshing swim at Lake Eacham or enjoy the Tea House at Lake Barrine. Petersons Creek is a short 150m walk from the Lodge where there is abundant bird life, animals and Platypus. The Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo can also be found at Petersons Creek. Waterfalls, walking trails, crater lakes and National Parks are all in close proximity to Yungaburra. The Kookaburra Lodge is a great place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the Atherton Tablelands. The Kookaburra Lodge is a short walk to local Cafe's and Restaurants.

If your coming up to check out the Atherton Mountain Bike Trails, Davies Creek Trails or for a Road Ride, we are bike friendly. We have secure storage for your bike and accessories, Work Bench, Wash down area and tools available for your use.
