Tamborine Mountain Distillery, Australia's most awarded distillery (more than 300 international awards) and liquor brand in the new millennium, is hidden away in the Gold Coast hinterland . With rich red volcanic soil and fresh spring water, the abundant fruit of the mountain is fermented and distilled. Family owned and operated, this boutique distillery manufactures fine liqueurs, schnapps, vodka, eaux de vie and liqueur chocolates.

Michael and Alla Ward’s Distillery has been opened only a short time (July 1998), yet they have already established a very enviable reputation largely developed by word of mouth, with tasting room visitors from not only all Australian states but America, Europe and Asia as well.

Entry is through 5 metre tall black and gold wrought iron gates passing a beautiful waterfall. You wend your way down the palm studded drive through tropical gardens which eventually bring you to a little English Tudor style courtyard. In the middle of the courtyard a stone pond features a water fountain of life size bronze nymphs playing musical instruments and you will find our tasting room just beyond. The tasting room is an Aladdin's cave with an eclectic mix of handmade crafts from around the world.
