The Golden Pig Food & Wine School is situated within a beautiful warehouse in Brisbane’s inner city suburb of Newstead and presents an inspirational calendar of hands-on cooking classes, a fully licensed cafe as well as informative food and wine sessions and events. Under the direction of head chef and tutor Katrina Ryan (ex Spirit House and Rockpool) the cafe and cooking school are designed to offer fun and lively culinary and dining experiences within a relaxed environment.
The warehouse space offers spectacular features including a central exposed kitchen, lofty ceilings, exposed brick walls with original concrete floors and an abundance of lush hanging plants. At night the location morphs into a beautiful ambient setting – highlighting the exclusive design features of this unique industrial space.
The Golden Pig is a perfect venue to celebrate weddings, parties, launches or corporate functions. Private classes and corporate team building events can be styled to suit individual tastes featuring hands-on activities and artisan presentations. Event capacity is 80 seated and up to 200 guests cocktail-style.
The Cafe is open on Mondays from 7.30am to 12.00pm and Tuesday - Friday from 7.30am to 2.00pm. Cooking classes are held in the evenings and on weekends.
